Vancouver Favorites #40, Drive the Sea to Sky!
Now that the much awaited work to highway 99 is complete, it’s time to take a drive up the sea to sky highway to Squamish and back to enjoy the scenery. This is one of the most beautiful and scenic drives in the whole country and one that I take all of my first-time visitors to Vancouver on.
This isn’t something to be done in a hurry, there’s lots to see and sites to stop at along the way. Make sure you charge up the camera battery and have lots of memory available because you’ll be taking a lot of photos. Several of our favorites are on this drive so feel free to put them all together and make a day trip out of this.
I’ve lived here a long time now, driven this highway many a times and I still find it one of my favorite things to do. I suppose growing up on the prairies and spending my youth looking at the flat lands will do that to a guy. All in all for a couple of dollars in gas, it’s a great way to spend a few hours of time.
